D.I.Y pt2

So I did a little experimenting with my first pair of skinny jeans from grade 9 that are now too short for me. Forgot to take a before picture of the whole jeans...but this is their original colour(excuse the shitty quality photo booth pics):


Then I cut them, scrunched them up and tied them up with elastic bands randomly. Filled a bucket with pure bleach, and let them soak for about an hour. Took them out, took off the elastic bands, and threw them in the dryer. The heat from the dryer burnt them a little so they've got these cool areas that are sort of rust coloured. This was all verryyy simple and I will probably try it again with more specific placements of the elastic bands so I can get different marbling patterns. Anyway finished product:

half of this collection is the embodiment of our prospective style for the summer (even though this is a fall 09 collection). The other half is dreadful. A giant leap of improvement from their spring/summer 09 though :)
